Day 4 Favorite Place

My favorite place is a beach in Nova Scotia but one where we can walk and find sea glass. We’ve collected so much of it that I feel like a sea glass hoarder. This time my son surprised me by drawing a picture of Ottawa as one of his favorite places. We’ve only been there once as a family 3 years ago but I guess it made a big impression on him. His other favorite place is a pier in Cape Cod where we go to get ice cream. My daughter loves Cape Cod and I would say it’s near the top of my list for favorite place as well.

Day 3 Favorite Food

There was much discussion about our favorite foods. I wasn’t surprised by my son’s choice but my daughter’s new-found love of bacon has me mystified. I clearly couldn’t decide between french fries and chocolate.

Day 2 Favorite Animal

Our favorite animals were not too much of a surprise. My daughter and I are both cat people but my son decided his favorite is a panda. He says that pandas are cute and look fuzzy but they really aren’t fuzzy.

I love how I started this blog last week and already have one follower.

Day 1 Self Portrait

Why art? Why now? I’ve always loved art and when I saw this 30-day drawing challenge on Pinterest I knew immediately that it was for me. I enlisted my two kids and we were off. So far I’ve learned some interesting things about them and myself. Like on the first day, I loved seeing how they view themselves and it made me happy that they saw themselves in a positive light.
